Apple Releases iOS 17.0.3 Update To Resolve iPhone 15 Pro Overheating Problem

Finally, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has officially released its latest iOS 17.0.3 update with a fix for an issue that could cause the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to run warmer than expected. The new iOS 17.0.3 also includes other important bug fixes and security updates.

iOS 17.0.3 fixes a significant overheating issue for iPhone 15 Pro and ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max. Soon after the release of the new iPhone 15 models, many customers started reporting that the ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ and Pro Max were overheating and sometimes shutting down due to overheating issues.

The company said iOS 17.0.3 includes a number of enterprise-related bug fixes. The iOS 17.0.3 update resolves an issue where devices managed through Apple Business Essentials cannot complete setup after upgrading to iOS 17, and fixes bugs related to managed Wi-Fi networks and Microsoft Exchange event invocations.

According to Apple, iOS 17.0.3 resolves an issue where Apple Business Essentials users could not complete the installation after upgrading to iOS 17. iOS 17 devices also don’t stop responding when they join managed Wi-Fi networks.

The Calendar app will no longer resend invitations to all attendees after accepting or rejecting an Exchange event invitation, the company said. A device registration issue with Apple Business Essentials was mentioned on Reddit.

The iOS 17.0.3 update can be downloaded to an eligible iPhone. The update can be installed in the Settings app under General → Software update. iOS 17 updates are compatible with iPhone XR/iPhone XS and later.
