Apple Watch Series 9 Expected To Feature Same Design With Added Pink Shade
Apple is expected to release the Watch Series 9 smartwatches in September, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup. A recent leak suggests that the Series 9 will maintain the same design as the Series 8, offering case sizes of 41mm and 45mm. However, a new addition to the aluminum model will be a pink color option.
According to reliable leaker ShrimpApplePro, pink will be the fifth color option for the aluminum Series 9, alongside the current Midnight, Starlight, Silver and (PRODUCT)RED finishes. The company already offers a pink finish on a few other devices, including the latest iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad and iMac, and the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are rumored to be available in pink as well.
According to the report, the Apple Watch Series 9 models with a stainless steel case will still be available in gold, silver and graphite colors. Future models are expected to feature a new chip, possibly based on the A15 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 13, which should improve performance.
The leaker mentioned that the Series 9 models will come in a smaller box than the Series 8 models as part of Apple’s efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its product packaging.
In related news, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently said that the iPhone 15 Pro smartphone models will have a titanium frame, thinner bezels and a price increase. According to Gurman, with the new screen technology, their screens will also have thinner frames, which will reduce the size of the black border by about a third. The iPhone 15 series smartphones are said to feature a customizable button that replaces the mute switch.
In addition, Apple is expected to replace the Lightning port with USB-C. Price increases may occur in areas outside the United States, and there is a possibility of price increases in the United States as well.
