Confirmed Launch Date for Xiaomi 14 Ultra Announced, Will Expand to Additional Countries in 2024
The company has confirmed the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and we also know when and where the new Ultra model will be launched this year. For some reason, Xiaomi has reserved previous Ultra iterations for its home market, but 2024 will be different when the 14 Ultra will also hit the global market. The Ultra title has shown us Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica and what a real deal can do for the companies involved. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a premium model that competes with Pixels, Galaxy Ultras and Pro Maxs in the market.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra Global and China Release Date
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will make its debut in China on February 22, while the global public will get its first look at the new Ultra device on February 25 at Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) in Barcelona, where we’ll also see the regular Xiaomi 14 models.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra design, features and more to expect
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra should borrow the flagship chipset from the other 14 series models, but in the cameras we see big upgrades. When it comes to design, expect the brand to offer premium materials and finishes. The phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will come with a new version of HyperOS. Recent leaks about the 14 Ultra point to a circular camera module where we could see four different sensors with trademark Leica-powered engineering.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is likely to feature a 2K AMOLED display, a 50MP camera sensor, a 5,000mAh+ battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging speeds. Our previous encounter with Xiaomi Ultras has shown the brand in a different light, and with its global launch, the company is ready to unleash the Ultra in more markets, which hopefully includes India.
