Create Personalized Stickers with Your Photos in a Flash – iPhone Makes It Possible!
In iOS 17, Apple introduced the ability to create stickers from users’ photos on the iPhone. However, this feature has been largely overlooked, overshadowed by flashier and arguably more useful features like NameDrop and StandBy.
However, I must say that making stickers to share in social media applications using your own photos is quite a nice process. The process itself only takes a few seconds and can definitely help users add some much-needed spice to their conversations, whether it’s on chat apps like WhatsApp or full-fledged social media platforms like Instagram or Reddit.
Here’s a quick look at how to create stickers in iOS 17 and later:
- First, open the image you want to create a sticker from.
- It should be an image with a well-defined subject, such as a face or a vehicle. Here, for reference, I’ve decided to make a decal of my Honda H’ness CB350.
- Next, long press the target until it starts to glow around the edges.
- Tap Add sticker to add it to the list of stickers to share.
- Now you can use the same sticker on multiple social platforms.
Now that we’ve explained how to create your custom stickers from scratch, it’s important to note that you can further customize these stickers. When you open the emoji section on your keyboard, find the sticker you just created and long press on it. Tap “Add Effect” to stylize the sticker with effects like Outline, Comic, Puffy and Shiny.
In addition to adding regular stickers to the sticker pack, you can also create animated stickers from Live Photos. The process remains the same, but it’s best to use Live Photo with a moving subject, as this creates a more dynamic effect.
