Details of Airtel’s new 5G data booster plans featuring unlimited data and customizable pricing released

Bharti Airtel has launched new 5G data booster packs to complement its existing 1GB and 1.5GB daily data plans, following in the footsteps of Reliance Jio. The goal is to improve Airtel’s data services for its users.

Airtel 5G Data Booster Packs Details

Airtel’s new data booster packs come in three tiers priced at Rs. 51, Rs. 101 and Rs. 151. These packs offer 3GB, 6GB and 9GB of 4G data respectively, while also offering unlimited 5G data. Customers can activate these packages alongside their existing plans, in which case the validity of the booster package corresponds to the validity of the primary plan. For example, if the customer’s contract is valid for 56 days, the booster package is also valid for the same period.

Activation of new packages and their benefits

To enjoy unlimited 5G data, users can add these booster packs to their existing plans. The purpose of this addition is to ensure that users have enough information for work, study and free time. The change aims to improve the overall data experience for customers who depend on data for various functions.

Comparison with Reliance Jio’s offering

Airtel’s introduction of these booster packs follows Reliance Jio’s launch of similar plans. Jio’s booster packs also offer unlimited 5G data at a comparable price. However, Jio’s plans come with certain limitations such as incompatibility with certain value plans. In contrast, Airtel has not set such restrictions on its booster packs, which may offer users more flexible options.

Impact of recent tariff increases

The launch of these booster packs coincides with the recent tariff hikes by Airtel and Jio, which took effect on July 3. Airtel has highlighted the need for higher average revenue generation (ARPU) to maintain its business model and continue to invest in network technology and spectrum. . Airtel’s revised tariffs for unlimited talk packs have gone up by Rs. 179 Rs. 199, Rs. 455 to Rs. 599 and Rs. 1,799 to Rs 1,999. Airtel has characterized this adjustment as modest, equivalent to less than 70 paise per day on entry-level plans, to soften the impact on budget-conscious consumers.
