Employment Opportunities To Be Available On Twitter
Twitter is reportedly developing a job posting feature that will enable verified organizations to share job listings on their profiles, indicating its intention to compete with LinkedIn.
The company created an account “@TwitterHiring” on the microblogging platform, but has yet to tweet anything about it. Application researcher Nima Owji posted a screenshot of the feature on Thursday, saying, “#Twitter allows verified organizations to bring all their work to Twitter by connecting to a supported ATS or XML feed!”
“Connect a supported applicant tracking system or XML feed to add your job to Twitter in minutes.”
According to the screenshot, the company describes the feature as “Twitter Hiring,” a “free” feature “for verified organizations to post jobs on your business profile and attract top talent to your open positions.”
In addition, certified organizations can add up to five jobs to their profiles. Twitter owner Elon Musk hinted at this feature in May of this year. When a user suggested the dating app “Twinder,” Musk replied, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs.”
Media company Workweek has already gained access to the new job posting feature, and its CEO Adam Ryan claims the feature is included in the Rs 82,300 per month Verified for Organizations plan.
While users can already post jobs on the microblogging platform via a tweet, the new feature could help companies easily reach potential applicants.
TechCrunch reported that Twitter’s first acquisition since Musk took over was job search tech startup Laskie in May. So it’s possible that the acquisition helped the microblogging platform create and publish the feature.
