Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Release Date Pushed Back to Early 2024
The ultimate announcement of Summer Game Fest was the follow-up to Final Fantasy VII Remake, known as Rebirth. This highly anticipated sequel will feature Cloud, Aerith, and their companions venturing beyond Midgar, with expanded areas for exploration that harness the capabilities of the PS5.
However, the beginning of the trailer teases alternate timelines and events once more, as the highway collapse (the end of FF7: Remake) shows injured party members being stretched out in helicopters before returning to more familiar story beats for anyone who’s played. original.
We get flashbacks of Tifa and Cloud meeting in the town of Kalm, where they both grew up, and more Sephiroth chewing up scenes with vague dialogue and great hair. We also see secondary opponents, the Turks, with full rosters ready to go three-on-three against your party.
The most fascinating snippets were the battles that showed Cloud et al. can cooperate with each other in their moves, which increases the damage.
