‘Fort Solis’ Sci-fi Thriller to Launch on PlayStation 5, PC and Mac on August 22nd
Psychological horror enthusiasts should take note of August 22nd as an exciting new game, Fort Solis, is set to be released. Developed by Fallen Leaf, the game is described as a psychological sci-fi thriller and follows the story of Jack Leary, an engineer sent to investigate a distant mining base on Mars. The game features a talented cast, including Roger Clark, known for his role as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, as the voice of Leary, and Tory Baker (The Last of Us, Death Stranding) and Julia Brown (The Last Kingdom, World on Fire) in supporting roles.
Looking at the trailer for Fort Solis, you might get the impression that Fallen Leaf is inspired by Dead Space, but the studio says it was most directly influenced by narrative titles like Firewatch and Until Dawn. Fallen Leaf notes that the game’s story can’t be interrupted by camera cuts or loading screens, which “can be unpacked in one intense session.” If nothing else, Fort Solis should be a tech showcase. Along with Layers of Fear, it’s one of the first Unreal Engine 5 games to arrive since Epic first teased the technology in 2020. Fort Solis is available for PlayStation 5, PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), and Mac .
