Google Calendar Update Offers Time-Saving Benefits
Google Calendar is about to undergo a significant upgrade that will transform the way events are shared, resulting in time savings. The latest advancement indicates that the Google Calendar app will soon enable users to directly share event links, simplifying the process of inviting people to meetings. A Twitter user named AssembleDebug (credited to Android Police) discovered this exciting new feature, demonstrating how a share button within the Calendar app can efficiently invite multiple participants without the hassle of manually entering their email addresses.
Streamlines event calls
Once the app update is released, creating an event will trigger a new share button that allows users to quickly decide who to invite to the event. Additionally, this button makes it easy to share events across apps like WhatsApp, Discord, and Telegram.
This upcoming update looks to significantly improve the flexibility of inviting people to events. In addition, it aims to defeat sending invitations using the current method of Google Calendar. This usually involves entering email addresses manually, which can be time-consuming, especially if you don’t have access to the company’s G Suite or an easily accessible list of recent contacts. Imagine having to perform such a task in a hurry on one of the latest smartphones – it can be quite daunting.
While Google’s productivity apps and tools have excellent compatibility, setting up events and creating comprehensive invitation lists is often a little tricky.
On the other hand, Google Calendar offers numerous great features that significantly improve the user experience. For example, Google Workspace now allows users without paid accounts to create paid booking pages and book appointments or meetings and share availability through Gmail. In addition, Kalenteri has introduced a user interface update for Google Maps’ location suggestions. These suggestions are based on the most recent locations, so scheduling appointments is faster.
Although the latest feature has not yet been made available to the general public, its imminent arrival seems highly likely. Android Police reported seeing the sharing feature back in March, though it didn’t work. Still, it looks like Google has made significant progress, and the stock option will soon be ready for widespread use.
