According to a report by PTI, Union Minister Jitendra Singh has made a significant announcement regarding the UPSC civil services examination, stating that the government has decided not to make any alterations to the current age limits and the number of attempts permitted. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Examination in Public Administration (CSE) annually under the supervision of the Board.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Secretary of State for India’s Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, expressed his views in a parliamentary reply stating, “Having considered the judgments of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in response to the petitions filed by the authorities. Certain CSE candidates and taking into account the views of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel- and the Education Department has stated that it is not possible to make any changes to the existing provisions regarding the number of attempts and the age limit for the CSE. .”
