Images of Lenovo Legion Go Gaming Console Emerge, May Have Switch-Like Design
The market for handheld games has grown rapidly in the last couple of years – previously limited to Nintendo Switch models and a few specialized products from unknown brands. We’ve already seen the release of the Valve Steam Deck, the AYANEO 2 and the more recent Asus ROG Ally, and now it looks like Lenovo might be joining the handheld gaming scene with its own system – the Legion Go.
WindowsReport has released a few images of the supposed Legion Go device, which resembles some of the other handheld devices currently on the market. The device appears to be quite large, possibly due to its powerful components, and according to the leaked images, it features full-sized ABXY buttons, triggers and shoulder buttons, as well as full-sized analog sticks and a D-pad. .
WindowsReport also found that the Lenovo Legion Go will run on Windows 11 – like the ROG Ally and may feature AMD’s Phoenix processors. This – in theory – could let you play AAA games from multiple stores, including Xbox GamePass, Steam, Epic Games, and more.
In addition, the Legion Go is also said to feature detachable side controls and a touch screen that allows users to navigate Windows 11 using a touch interface.
The release date of Lenovo’s Legion Go game and its official entry into the PC handheld game market is still unknown. However, supporting detachable side controllers will set it apart from current devices like the ROG ally and Steam Deck – both of which have non-detachable controllers and suffer from the infamous stick drift.
