iPhone 15 Series Boasts Bigger Batteries Than iPhone 14 Series: Here’s What We Know
Apple is known for keeping device specifications a secret and is extra careful when sharing numbers with its customers. Instead, it chooses to provide information about what the phones’ specifications can do. In the case of the iPhone 15 series, Apple has not revealed the phones’ new battery capacity or the amount of RAM.
However, according to a report by MySmartPrice, the alleged battery capacities of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro have been revealed. According to the Chinese regulatory database, the iPhone 15 battery is said to have a 3349 mAh battery, the iPhone 15 Plus has a 4383 mAh battery, the iPhone 15 Pro has a 3274 mAh battery, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 4422 mAh battery.
In particular, these figures suggest that the iPhone 15 models have a larger battery than the iPhone 14 models.
For reference, the iPhone 14 Pro has a 3,200 mAh battery, the iPhone 14 has a 3,279 mAh battery, the iPhone 14 Plus has a 4,325 mAh battery, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 4,323 mAh battery.
While we can’t comment on the battery performance of the iPhone 15 series – in theory – the 3nm A17 Pro chipset combined with larger batteries should result in much better battery life compared to the iPhone 14 series.
The iPhone 15 series is currently available for pre-order in India and other regions and will go on sale from September 22. The iPhone 15 price in the Indian market starts at Rs 79,900, the iPhone 15 Plus starts at Rs 89,900, the iPhone 15 Pro retails at Rs 1,34,900, and the flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at a whopping Rs 1,59,900 for the 256GB variant.
