iQOO 12 Series Announced With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor
Vivo sub-brand iQOO on Wednesday announced that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 12 series, will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The Chinese smartphone brand recently confirmed the launch of the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro in its home country next month. The company has also claimed that the iQOO 12 series will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s most powerful processor in India.
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya took to the microblogging platform X (earlier called Twitter) and announced the news. “#iQOO12 + #Snapdragon8Gen3 = Superior performance duo. #Coming Soon.” Now we can expect iQOO’s next generation smartphones to launch in India as well. More details on the iQOO 12 India launch can be expected after the China launch event on 7/11.

According to a post on Weibo, the launch event for iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro will be held in China on November 7 (Tuesday) at 4:30 PM IST. The iQOO 12 series has a confirmed Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. . This premium mobile chipset was introduced this week at the Snapdragon Summit. The upcoming iQOO 12 series is expected to run on Android 14 operating system.
The iQOO 12 series is expected to offer a triple camera setup at the rear, which includes a 50-megapixel with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x zoom and OIS support.
According to a report by Gadgets360, the vanilla iQOO 12 is backed by a large 4,880mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro model packs a massive 4,980mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
The iQOO 12 is also expected to have 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
