Leaks Suggest Two Upcoming Jio 5G Smartphones Could Be Launched Soon – Here’s What We Know
New reports indicate that Reliance Jio may be planning to release two new 5G smartphones shortly after the recent launch of the JioBook in 2023. A reliable source has leaked information revealing the presence of two Jio smartphone models on the BIS certification website. Additionally, there are speculations that these smartphones could be unveiled during the annual Reliance Industries AGM event on August 28. The creator of the technology, Mukul Sharma, has shared a tweet where he revealed that the two phone models are named JBV161W1 and JBV162W1. The listings emphasize that the devices are manufactured in Noida. Furthermore, a report by Business Today has suggested that these 5G smartphones may be launched at the end of this month at the RIL AGM, though there has been no confirmation on the matter.

In a previous sighting in December 2022, MySmartPrice spotted a Jio 5G smartphone listed on Geekbench. The listing hinted at the likelihood that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset with 4GB of RAM and run on Android 12.
Additionally, a Twitter user shared leaked images of the rumored Jio 5G smartphone, suggesting that the device could be priced under ₹10,000 in India. The images also hinted at a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel primary and 2-megapixel secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
