Manu Sharma, Chief of Nothing in India, Departs the Company: Read His Statement
Nothing has seen its first major exit in India this week, with its country manager Manu Sharma stepping down from the company. Sharma has been instrumental in the launch and growth of Nothing in the country and his previous experience with giants like Samsung has clearly helped him to give the new company a strong foothold in India.
Sharma has been with Nothing since its first day in the Indian market, which was three years ago. He shared an update on his LinkedIn post on Thursday, thanking the brand while also highlighting his personal reasons for his decision to leave the company.
Here is Sharma’s full message on his profile:
As 2024 begins soon, I am excited to share that I have decided to move on from Nothing. The last 3 years have been eventful and memorable. It has been the luckiest and most incredible time of my life to build the foundation of the Nothing brand in India from scratch. The decision to move on came after intensive consideration for personal reasons. Nothing India is in an incredibly strong position, with a very solid product portfolio in 2024 and a very capable team.
I’m very excited about the adventure ahead, but I’m not leaving just yet, I’ll be with Nothing India until the end of January 2024.
He won’t share his next destination after Nothing, but Sharma will be part of the company’s establishment until the end of next month. He was part of the core team that set up Nothing’s business in India, which included building operations and hiring talent to run the company.
Sharma also talks about a strong lineup for 2024, which will likely include the new Nothing Phone 3 and possibly the affordable Nothing Phone 2a, which has been in the news for the past few weeks.
