Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay revealed
The long-awaited gameplay footage of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has finally been revealed, introducing the next exciting chapter in the beloved Spider-Man franchise.
This gameplay was revealed at Sony’s summer event.
The company’s PlayStation Showcase delivered an action-packed hour filled with exciting announcements, unexpected surprises and intriguing trailers, The Verge reported.

Spider-Man 2, which is scheduled for release in the fall of 2023, and the gameplay offers a glimpse of the exciting features that await players.
In the reveal of the game, one of the distinguishing elements is the introduction of Kraven the Hunter.
As teased in last year’s announcement trailer, Kraven will make his debut in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to hunt down a formidable adversary.
This spells trouble for both the iconic Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as they face off against a rogues gallery and a new symbiote threat to Earth-1048.
Aaron Jason Espinoza, senior community manager at Insomniac Games, said in a blog post that the game’s demo sets the stage for an action-packed adventure as players take on the role of Peter Parker.

The symbiote threads enhance Spider-Man’s attacks, delivering powerful blows and beating Kraven’s hunters mercilessly.
Battle strategy becomes crucial as Kraven’s highly trained hunters prove to be formidable opponents. According to the blog post, players can utilize aggressive parries, web-based moves, and well-timed dodges to gain an advantage.
According to Aaron, the game will also feature new takedowns and combat animations that further demonstrate Spider-Man’s prowess in combat.
In particular, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 introduces a double gameplay experience, with Miles Morales returning as a key player in the story.
In the demo, Miles chases down the evil Lizard in Harlem, showcasing improved traversal mechanics and increased speed.
The game footage also highlights the rich and immersive world of Marvel’s New York. The DualSense wireless controller gives gamers a better sensory experience, and haptic feedback and adaptive triggers add to the immersion.
In a blog post, Aaron said that Insomniac Games aims to provide an unforgettable gaming experience by exploring the personal relationship between Peter Parker and the Symbiote and deepening its emotional impact on those closest to him.
