Meta Introduces ‘Follow’ Tab on Threads App
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has introduced a new feature called the ‘Following’ tab on their recently launched social media platform, Thread. This feature enables users to see posts from the accounts they follow in a reverse-chronological order. The Following tab is now available on both iOS and Android versions of Threads.
“Threads started rolling out an option for a chronological feed of only the people you follow,” Zuckerberg posted on his broadcast channel, Instagram. The Meta-owned microblogging platform also continues to display algorithmically recommended posts under “For You”. -tab.
The new Followed tab is still in release as a server-side change, so it’s not visible to all users yet, but refreshing the app and tapping the home button from the sub-menu might help.
Using the next tab in threads
– In Threads, the default feed is for you.
– You can switch to the “Following” feed or return to “For You” by tapping the front page icon in the lower left corner or the Threads logo at the top.
– However, if you close the app, it will return to For You mode and you will have to change the feed again every time you open it. I
– If you don’t see the “Following” feed, it might not be available in your version of the app yet.
In related news, Threads also plans to introduce a feature similar to rival platform X, formerly known as Twitter. According to reports, Mark Zuckerberg’s new microblogging platform is working on Direct Messaging, or DMs, a feature that users can use to send messages privately on the same platform.
A new feature of Threads, DMs, allows users to privately discuss sensitive topics they don’t want to discuss publicly. Previously, Threads users had to switch to another app for private conversations. Nor have users chosen Meta’s other apps, such as Messenger or Instagram, to do so.
