Meta’s Threads App Introducing ‘Your likes’ Feature
Meta-owned microblogging platform Threads is rolling out the ability to see posts you’ve liked via an app update. Last week, the social media app began testing a new feature in its Android beta. However, over the weekend Meta made it available to all users.
Users can access their liked posts in the Settings > Your Likes section, which is accessible through the profile page. In comparison, in X (formerly X) you can view your likes through a separate Likes tab on your profile.
In addition to viewing likes, the Threads app has introduced a new media upload quality option that allows users to upload higher quality photos and videos. You can find this option under Settings > Account > Media Quality. Additionally, the platform now allows users to organize their next list based on “Latest First” and “Earliest First” criteria.
To view their following list, users must go to their profile, tap on a follower’s face picture under their life, and then go to the Following tab. Last week, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company would add search and online experiences to Threads in the coming weeks.
“Good week for Threads. The community here is on a trajectory that I expect will build a live long-term app. Lots of work ahead, but excited about the team’s pace of delivery. Search and web coming in the next few weeks,” Meta’s CEO said.
Last month, Zuckerberg announced new updates to Threads, including a “Following” feed and “Translations.” “Your feed in Threads allows you to view posts from other profiles, now two options.”
“For you” is a view of the Threads feed, which contains a mix of posts from profiles users have chosen to follow and recommended accounts.
