Microsoft 365 Copilot Now Available for Enterprise and Business Users – Subscription Fees Apply
Microsoft has been making significant progress in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its range of products. During the Build 2023 event, the company revealed its plans to introduce the Microsoft 365 Copilot, an AI assistant designed for Microsoft 365 applications and services, to Microsoft Teams. Additionally, at the Inspire conference held in July, Microsoft introduced the Bing Chat Enterprise, an AI chatbot with GPT-4 capabilities tailored for business use. Until now, Microsoft had only released 365 Copilot in preview for a few companies and enterprise customers. But now it’s being rolled out globally, but there’s a catch. In addition to paying the premium subscription price, companies need at least 300 users to get on the waiting list for the same. Microsoft 365 Copilot is an everyday AI companion that leverages your network data, work data, and current PC activities to help you while keeping your privacy and security a priority. You can easily use it on Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and even in a web browser with Edge and Bing. It can run as an app or pop up when you need it with a simple right-click.
It can even work with the Microsoft Office suite to perform tasks such as analyzing Excel spreadsheets, summarizing documents, creating emails, and more. In Outlook, Copilot can summarize long email threads, provide annotated key information, and suggest action items, responses, and follow-up meetings.
Microsoft Word users request document summaries for a quick summary or to explore in-depth bulleted summaries. It can rewrite paragraphs and let you fine-tune tones, refine prompts, and even create tables from your text. Copilot’s analytics and visualization capabilities can provide you with instant analytics in Excel while creating formula columns, using custom data highlights, filtering and sorting with ease.
How much does it cost?
If you were thinking of taking advantage of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence-powered Copilot for free, Microsoft has disappointed you. The company has announced its pricing for the AI assistant, and it’s pretty steep. Microsoft 365 Copilot is available to commercial users for $30 per user per month for Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium customers.
