Highlighting the adoption of AI in India, he said, “If anything, the use cases here are so unique… and are paving their own path. And that’s exciting. We’re not just talking about AI; we’re scaling AI.” In addition, Nadella believed that AI could improve productivity in several sectors, including energy, retail and healthcare. Nadella said that personal computers have increased productivity in the workplace, and now artificial intelligence will play that role. “This era of AI is really about expertise at our fingertips,” LiveMint reported Nadella as saying.

He added: “Think about what happened to forecasting. How did we do forecasting before personal computers, email and spreadsheets? And then how did the business process of forecasting change? The same thing is happening now.”

He also announced that Microsoft will be part of India’s AI journey and aims to provide AI skills to the country’s two million aspirants.
