Microsoft Introduces Bing Chat Enterprise with AI-powered Features for Businesses – Here’s How to Use It

During its annual Inspire conference, Microsoft unveiled Bing Chat Enterprise, a chatbot equipped with advanced artificial intelligence and enhanced data protection for businesses. This development aims to provide organizations with privacy concerns regarding generative AI with robust AI capabilities and heightened data security. Additionally, Microsoft announced the introduction of 365 Copilot to Teams, focusing on enhancing Teams calls and chats.

The move comes at a time when big tech companies like Apple and Samsung, as well as several banks, have placed restrictions on their employees’ use of creative AI tools like ChatGPT and 365 Copilot for privacy reasons. ChatGPT specifically states that unless you opt out, the information you provide may be used to train its creative AI, putting the confidential information you provide at risk.

However, a welcome move is that Bing Chat Enterprise does not store chat data and does not use customer data to train its AI models. Additionally, Microsoft cannot view your data. Microsoft communications director Frank X. Shaw said in a blog post: “What goes in and comes out stays protected, giving business customers better answers, more efficiency and new ways to be creative.”

So how does Bing Chat Enterprise help businesses? Using web data, Bing Chat Enterprise is able to provide complete and verifiable answers along with quotes. In addition, it can also provide visual answers using graphs, charts and images.

How to use Bing Chat Enterprise

Microsoft is currently rolling out Bing Chat Enterprise in a preview phase, which means that only users enrolled in the Microsoft 365 Copilot Early Access program can use it right now. Users can access Bing Chat Enterprise on their work accounts in places where Bing Chat is supported, such as in the Microsoft Edge sidebar and on Bing.com/chat. In addition, it will also be available from Windows Copilot in the future.

Unlike Microsoft 365 Copilot, for which pricing plans were announced, Bing Chat Enterprise is free for users with existing Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium subscriptions. Microsoft also makes it a separate offering that costs $5 per user per month
