Microsoft pulls Cortana Android launcher in April
Since the spring, the technology giant Microsoft makes productivity the focus of the handheld device and as part of the change, the handheld computer Cortana will lose some of its better features for consumers, such as the ability to play music and control your smart home devices.
The move is part of a broader transformation of Microsoft’s Cortana strategy. Instead, the assistant to the different devices, Microsoft would focus on the backbone of the AI Cortana to make people productive, Windows Central reported on Friday.
According to the technology giant, it will stop the end of April Cortana services. “This is the next step in the evolution of Cortana will bring an enhanced, seamless personal productivity help free upgrade to the latest Windows 10, coming this spring,” the company said.
It’s not too surprising to see Microsoft to remove its Cortana Launcher app. Although many people want the launcher, assistant had never been its main appeal.
