Microsoft’s Windows 10 Woes: Free Activation Key Blocked!
Microsoft recently pulled the plug on Windows 7 and 8 activation keys, much to the annoyance of many consumers, but now another issue has surfaced that affects current Windows 10 and 11 users.
The company decided to block keys for Windows 7 and 8 versions that allowed people to upgrade their PCs to Windows 10 or 11 for free. It happens when people have already upgraded to the latest version of Windows, but for some reason they have changed their computer’s hardware to optimize its performance. In fact, people are forced to buy a new activation key to upgrade to Windows 11.
So why does this happen? No one knows and claims that Microsoft is looking into the matter and is sure to provide some sort of assistance to its customers who have seen their Windows account/key blocked.
According to Microsoft’s policy, changing your computer’s hardware does not prevent you from getting a free upgrade, so we hope that the company can fix this bug as soon as possible, or people may feel restricted in upgrading their computer’s hardware. which is one of the reasons people buy a windows machine.
The company has been quoted in reports as saying that people who face a problem activating keys after hardware changes should contact customer support and seek a solution to the problem.
Key activation is necessary to register your system in Microsoft’s database, and if the key is not accepted, the version of Windows on your system will become invalid.
We’re not sure what made Microsoft make this change now, but somehow it’s likely that the company is now happy with the Windows 11 upgrade cycle for older PCs and now wants to make money off of its licensed OS for older PCs. compatible devices.
