NASA releases stunning photos of powerful solar flare
The Sun has been observed emitting a powerful solar flare in stunning images captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory.
On June 20, the Sun launched a powerful solar flare, peaking at 1:09 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

Solar flares are powerful bursts of energy. Flares and solar flares can affect high frequency (HF) radio communications, power grids, navigation signals and pose risks to spacecraft and astronauts.
The solar flare observed on June 20 is classified as an X1.0 flare, with “X” representing the strongest category. The number gives more information about the power of the torch in its class.
According to Fox Weather News, the most powerful outbreak in history affected much more. In the fall of 2003, NASA recorded a flare at X28, producing particles that bombarded instruments around the Earth.
As a result of this bombardment, on the SWPC scale of five out of five, satellite engineers had to replace some satellites to operate in failsafe mode, NASA said. In addition, astronauts on the International Space Station were advised to seek shelter from the increased radiation level. (LETTER I)
