New Chat Archive Feature Added to ChatGPT
OpenAI’s ChatGPT is a product that is constantly updated with new features to make the user experience even better. The Microsoft-backed company has added several new features over time, both functional and quality-of-life improvements. Now, the newest feature of the generative AI chatbot is the ability to archive conversations.
Taking it to X (formerly Twitter), OpenAI said, “You can now archive your chats in ChatGPT!” And this allows you to remove chats from the ChatGPT sidebar without deleting them. However, you can still see your archived conversations in the settings.
ChatGPT chat archive feature: who is it available to?
The AI giant notes that the feature is currently available for web and iOS users, and will soon be available for Android users. It is available to both free and paid ChatGPT users. Thus, whether someone is a free user or a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, they have access to the feature.
How to archive your chats?
To start archiving your chats in ChatGPT, go to the sidebar where you’ll find the “New Chat” button next to the icon. Below this you will find your previous conversations.
To archive a conversation, tap the three-dot menu that appears when you click on a specific conversation. Tap the “Archive Chat” option. This will save the conversation in your settings, which you can access by tapping on your profile.
