Instagram is getting new features
In a blog post, Instagram announced several new features coming to the social media platform aimed at helping users better express themselves, connect with friends, and organize their inbox. The features are:
1. Edit your posts
2. Pin the conversations to the top of the Inbox
3. Change read receipts for DM messages
4. Save your favorite sticker and update your answer
5. Customize your conversations with more themes
About new features
One of the standout features is the ability to edit DMs. Users can now edit Instagram DMs up to 15 minutes after sending. This helps to get rid of typos in the message. To edit a message, users just need to press and hold the message and tap Edit.
Additionally, they can now pin their favorite chats to the top of their inbox for quick access, instead of having to scroll through the chat box to find the right chat window. And if you want to hide the fact that you’ve read someone’s messages, you can now toggle read receipts for everyone or select conversations.
In addition to this, Instagram now allows you to save your favorite stickers in DMs for easy access. Additionally, stickers, GIFs, videos, photos, and audio messages are available when you reply to a message. The social media platform is also giving chats a makeover by introducing new themes like Love, Lollipop, Avatar: The Last Airbender and more.
