New LinkedIn’s AI-Powered Tool Generates Introductory Text and Headlines
LinkedIn, a professional social networking platform owned by Microsoft, has unveiled a new feature called Copy Suggestions. This innovative tool utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to produce compelling introductory text and headlines for ad campaigns, drawing on information from an advertiser’s LinkedIn Page.
“We’re developing AI-generated copy recommendations that leverage advanced OpenAI GPT models from your LinkedIn Page and Campaign Manager settings, such as goal, targeting criteria, and audience, to suggest ad headlines and help copy launch your campaigns.” LinkedIn said in a blog post.
The company is rolling out this feature as a pilot in North America in English and plans to add functionality, languages and availability in the coming months. The new AI tool offers up to five headlines and ad copy recommendations in Campaign Manager that users can customize to match their brand’s voice.
“AI Copy Suggestions can help jump-start your creativity and reduce the amount of time spent on your day-to-day tasks so you can continue to focus on what matters – producing memorable campaigns and building your brand,” said Abhishek Shrivastava, Head of Product at LinkedIn.
In related news, LinkedIn also introduced an identity verification feature for Indian users. In India, HyperVerge, a third-party identity verification service that uses DigiLocker—an online wallet for Indian government-issued personal identification cards such as the Aadhaar card—handles identity verification. The ID is available to users with a valid Aadhaar number and an Indian phone number.
“ID verification means that one of LinkedIn’s verification partners validates a person’s official ID,” LinkedIn India Country Director Ashutosh Gupta said in a blog post on Wednesday.
“When you show the real you on LinkedIn, you have an even better chance of finding professional opportunities that matter to you and your community,” he added.
