Here’s How Nokia’s Affordable 4G Feature Phones in India Will Enable YouTube Video Support
Nokia’s affordable 4G feature phones are still quite popular among some consumers, and the company is now giving them more reasons to continue using their candy bar phones. We’ve seen many smartphones launch in the market that go a step further and let you use apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and more.
Now, Nokia is bringing cloud apps to its 4G phones, allowing you to access apps like YouTube Shorts and BBC News. You must be wondering how cloud apps work on a feature phone, and that’s a good question.
Nokia says it will add new features to the Cloud platform, which already exists in the Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 106 4G phones. These apps can be used when you sign in to the cloud app with your Google ID.
For those who are not aware, Nokia’s feature phones are already equipped to make UPI payments using the UPI 123PAY feature built into these devices. Nokia also claims that the feature phones can provide you with weather updates, news and cricket scores. With 4G mobile data, these feature phones can watch YouTube Shorts videos, play games like 2048 Game and Tetris.
The Nokia 106 4G gets a 1.8-inch QVGA display, which might not sound big enough for video streaming, but we’ve seen other phones support these features. It runs on System 30+ and you have support for FM radio, Bluetooth and a microUSB port for charging. It has a 1450 mAh battery. Nokia 110 4G is available in the market for Rs 2,399 while Nokia 106 4G is available for Rs 2,199.
