Nokia XR21 specifications
The Nokia XR21 has an IP69K rating, one of the first to offer this level of durability. The phone also gets military grade MIL-STD-810H, which makes it very durable. The 9K at the end of the IP69 rating emphasizes the device’s ability to withstand close-range, high-pressure, and high-temperature water splashes.
The phone has a 6.49-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate display that can be used with wet hands and gloves. Thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, the screen should withstand round use. It runs on the Snapdragon 695 chipset and is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Nokia XR21 gets a dual rear camera system consisting of a 64-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
The phone has a 4800mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. As a Nokia phone, it’s surprising to see that it ships with Android 12. However, you get three operating system updates and four years of security updates. The latest XR phone is all about durability, so it will be interesting to see if people are willing to pay a lot for a mid-range phone with a high level of durability in the premium segment.
