OnePlus 11 Receives OxygenOS 14 Beta Update: Check Out What’s Included
OnePlus has taken matters into its own hands by unveiling OxygenOS 14, which is based on Android 14. Google has yet to make the new version available to the public, but OnePlus has not only shown us its new version of OyxgenOS, but also talked about the new features that OnePlus users can expect to see with the Android 14-based update.
The company has confirmed that the latest OnePlus 11 5G will be the first to receive the Android 14 update sometime in mid-November. In addition to this, a number of OnePlus phones will receive the beta Android 14 update in the coming weeks. So what does the new OxygenOS 14 version offer users and is there anything eye-catching that makes it worth installing? Here is the information you need.
OxygenOS 14 update: What’s new?
The company shared details of OxygenOS 14, which increasingly feels like an iteration of Oppo’s ColorOS software, which can be good and bad in some ways. OxygenOS 14 has a hint of the Material You design element that was expected, but OnePlus has tried to keep it original and fluid. The new elements of OxygenOS 14 use a lot of buzzwords, but we are yet to see how it will bring concrete changes.
However, there are some interesting features such as File Dock, which is a centralized application that stores text, images and videos and turns them into notes that can be shared with others. The company has also introduced Smart Cutout, which allows you to select a specific part of a photo and move them away from what Samsung has done with One UI in the past.
There are some new ringtones for OnePlus users, and the company has made some updates to the Aquamorphic Design, which now has a more transparent interface while using apps.
Other things that OnePlus has talked about are the Trinity Engine, which apparently unlocks the full potential of the phone’s hardware. There’s also something called CPU Vitalisation and RAM Vitalisation, both of which are supposed to improve chip and memory performance. OnePlus has kept the feature list to a minimum with OxygenOS 14, but we hope to see more additions in future builds. OnePlus will bring OxygenOS 14 to several OnePlus and Nord phones in the coming months.
