OpenAI’s Website Close to Reaching One Billion Monthly Unique Visitors, Creator of ChatGPT
OpenAI, the creator of an artificial intelligence-powered conversational chatbot, is fast approaching one billion unique visitors per month to its website, a new report said Thursday, making it the fastest-growing site among the 50 most visited sites on the planet.
According to US-based SaaS Webflow design and performance marketing agency, OpenAI’s website Openai.com grew by 54.21 percent in a month.
The agency analyzed traffic statistics from the top 50 websites with the most visits in March based on data from Slick Web (an Israeli software and data company).
“The ChatGPT phenomenon has spread like wildfire at the end of 2022 and we expect it to break all records soon as it is the fastest site ever to reach one billion monthly active users in such a very short time,” said Stefan Katanek, CEO. From Veza Digital.
Additionally, the report noted that a total of 847.8 million unique visitors accessed the OpenAI website during March, which means it rose nine places in the global ranking to 18th place.
It saw an even bigger jump in the previous month, jumping 24 places from the world’s 51st most visited site to 27th.
“We believe that artificial intelligence will play a significant role in more than 50 percent of businesses in the next five years, and therefore we look forward to incorporating this technological development into our daily operations, as well as strategically positioning geographies for our company,” Katanic said.
OpenAI has already crossed the 1 billion visit mark in February this year, and is expected to reach 1.6 billion visits in March.
The report found that one in nine visitors come from the United States, the primary source of website traffic.
