Post Selfie Videos In Notes On Instagram: Here’s What You Need To Know

Good news for Instagram users, the popular photo and video sharing platform owned by Meta is testing an interesting new feature in its app. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri took Meta to microblogging service Threads and revealed how the new feature works in a video shared to his broadcast channel.

“A new test on Instagram. This week we started testing posting selfie videos in Notes. Soon people will be able to update their default profile picture in Notes with a short, continuous video. You can still share your thoughts along with the video. If you start seeing videos in Notes, let us know what you think,” said Mosseri.

A demo video shared by the head of Instagram revealed that a new camera icon will appear on the profile picture when users start creating a note. This icon allows them to save the video for posting to Notes.

In related news, Instagram is also testing a feed that only allows posts from paid verified users. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said the company is “exploring this as a new control for people and a way for businesses and creators to be discovered.”

The new Meta Verified switch will appear as an option under “Following” and “Favorites” when you tap the Instagram logo at the top of the app, reports The Verge.

The Meta Verified program costs $11.99 online or $14.99 in the app because it gives people a new way to try to get more visibility on their Instagram feed. Mosseri encouraged people to let us know if you’re interested in using this new feed for verified users.

Meanwhile, Meta plans to charge $14 for ad-free Instagram or Facebook in Europe, where users can pay a fee or agree to see personalized ads.
