How to Quickly Find Misplaced AirPods Using Your iPhone
If you own a pair of Apple AirPods, there’s a good chance you might have placed them in your home, office, or even the gym at least once. Truth be told, finding these little headphones can be quite a challenge. Fortunately, if you pair them with your iPhone, you’re just one step away from finding them easily.
Yes, your iPhone lets you play a shrill sound from your AirPods, making it easy to locate them. In this example, we are using the first generation AirPods Pro for demonstration, so it is not possible to play the sound while they are in the case. However, if you have AirPods Pro 2, you can make them play even when they’re in their charging case.
Here are the steps you need to follow to play audio from your AirPods:
1. On your iPhone, go to the Find My app.
2. Next, find Devices at the bottom.
3. Here you will find a list of all the devices you have linked to your Apple ID. AirPods should also be on this list.
4. When you spot them, tap them. Here you will find the option to “Play sound” and even locate them based on their signal.
5. When you tap Play sound, AirPods will start making a chirping sound anywhere.
6. Now all you have to do is pay attention to where the sound is coming from and locate them.
You can do the same thing on your Mac, Apple Watch, and even iCloud.com, but using your iPhone is the most convenient of all these options.
