Say Goodbye to Overheating and Battery Drain: Apple Watch Users, Here’s How!
Apple Watch users have complained of issues such as overheating, which also appears to have caused the battery to drain. We haven’t heard about how Apple plans to fix these issues for users, but now, according to a report, the company is offering a new watchOS update to improve the situation for Apple Watch users.
MacRumors’ report cites an internal Apple memo in which the company has talked about fixing these issues with an update to the watchOS 10 series that will be released soon.
The company has not shared more details about this update, when it plans to roll out, and more importantly, what is causing these issues for Apple Watch users with the Apple Watch Series 5 or the latest Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Sharing the same platform means that potential problems with watchOS will have a drastic effect, affecting millions of Apple Watch users. Apple does not say in the memo how many Watch users are experiencing these issues, the report adds. The company faced similar issues with the iPhone after the release of iOS 17 and was forced to release the iOS 17.1 update to fix several issues faced by iPhone users.
According to some reports, Apple could have a watchOS 10.1.1 update to fix the battery drain issue for watch users, but there’s a strong possibility that the company might push it through the watchOS 10.2 update, which isn’t expected for at least another month.
Apple Watch is the best smartwatch on the market, which is now also facing pressure from Samsung and Google. The two companies have joined forces to compete with the Apple Watch using the all-new Wear OS platform available for Samsung Galaxy watches and the Google Pixel Watch series.
