Sony has recently released its latest WF-1000 series TWS earbuds, offering improved noise cancellation and sound quality. Additionally, the charging case of the earbuds has been made smaller compared to its previous model, and various other features have received significant enhancements.
Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones price
The Sony WF-1000XM5 TWS earbuds are priced at $299.99 (roughly Rs. 24,300) and you can choose from black or silver. Sony is taking pre-orders for the new headphones in the US this week, with sales expected to begin early next month. Sony should bring it to the Indian market in the coming weeks.
Sony WF-1000XM5 features
The first thing you’ll notice about these new headphones is that they’re smaller than the WF-1000XM4 (Sony needs a better brand name), and even the charging case is more compact, weighing just 39 grams. The company offers 8.4mm dynamic drivers with Sony’s V2 integrated processor and HD noise-cancelling QN2e processor, which is claimed to further improve noise reduction.
The company seems to have realized that the microphones are not the best in the segment, so working on it could also improve the sound quality of calls and its reception. You have different modes to adapt to your environment and you have an IPX4 rating, which makes it water resistant. The glossy nature of the headphones may be off-putting, but Sony is banking on that. Battery life should also get some upgrades and the case allows for wireless charging, which is a convenient option for users.
