Spotify is testing the option to edit playlist details on Android
Spotify has added a number of features to its platform over the past two weeks. The list includes features like podcasts and stories to name a few. Now, the music streaming giant is said to be planning to bring a new feature to its platform that will help its users better customize their playlists.
A number of Reddit users have spotted a new feature in the Spotify app on Android that allows them to edit their playlists. This not only includes the ability to delete songs and move them, but also the ability to change the name of the playlist and its subtitles.
In addition to that, Spotify is also testing a feature that will allow users to change their playlist cover art.
Users reported spotting an “Edit Playlist” in addition to their playlists. Tapping this option allows users to edit the above mentioned aspects of a playlist. Notably, this feature for changing various aspects of a playlist has only been spotted on Spotify’s Android app, and it remains to be seen if and when this feature will arrive on the company’s iOS app.
Separately, Spotify has also been spotted testing an Instagram Stories-like feature. Except in the case of Spotify, it is testing the feature with popular artists on its platform. This feature is visible to select users on Android and iOS.
