Spotify Technology SA announced on Thursday that it will launch its music streaming service in South Korea in the first half of 2021 after expanding to Russia and 12 other countries earlier this year.

Spotify also recently updated two of its Premium subscription plans in India. Spotify Premium Daily and Weekly plans have received discounts and are now referred to as Premium Mini .
In addition, Spotify currently supports local music playback through its desktop app. It is now testing the same for its Android app so that users now have an easier way to back up local files to their Spotify account.
This feature was spotted by Jane Manchun Wong who shared a screenshot of the new test on Spotify’s Android app. The new feature will be available under the name Import in the settings menu. Here, users will have an option to view files from device which will make all audio files from the device visible in your library. Users can toggle this option if they want their local files to be in their Spotify library.
