Successful Launch of Aditya-L1 Satellite: A Blessing for Creators on X Platform
In today’s Tech Briefing, India made significant progress in the space tech sector with the launch of the Aditya-L1 mission, the country’s inaugural space-based solar observatory, by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The observatory is currently en route to Lagrange point 1 (L1) where it will operate for the next 5 years. Additionally, excitement is building as new leaks about the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro have emerged just weeks before Apple’s September 12 event. Stay tuned for more updates in today’s Tech briefing.
Aditya-L1 boots successfully
India’s brand new space mission, the first space-based observatory-class solar mission, took to the skies on Saturday, September 2 at 11:50 am IST from Launch Pad 2 at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Aditya-L1 is India’s second space adventure this year after Chandrayaan-3’s successful soft landing on the moon on August 23. Just a few days ago, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) commissioned the Aditya-L1 spacecraft alongside the PSLV. -C57, to the launch pad and ran launch drills to make sure everything went smoothly. And now the spacecraft is off to explore the sun, traveling about 1.5 million kilometers to reach its destination in a halo orbit. Dig deeper.
The new design of the iPhone 15 Pro was revealed
Now, leaked images of the iPhone 15 Pro are making the rounds online, offering a glimpse of the major changes coming to these high-end devices. Well-known leaker Ice Universe shared these alleged images on his X account, claiming them to be genuine iPhone 15 Pro. But here’s the catch: it hasn’t been confirmed if these images depict the real deal or just a dummy unit created for the case makers. The rear camera layout looks pretty similar to current models, with the LiDAR scanner and flash in familiar positions. While the camera deck looks roughly the same size as the iPhone 14 Pro, the angle makes it challenging to fully analyze. Dig deeper.
X will soon provide content creators with an email list of their subscribers
This new feature allows a creator’s subscribers to share their email accounts so they can reach out and message even when they’re not using the platform. Company owner Elon Musk said it lets them know they’re not trapped on the platform and can leave at any time and take their subscribers with them — a win-win situation.
Responding to a post highlighting this new feature, Elon Musk said, “It’s vital that creators can leave the platform at any time and take their subscribers with them. We want to give creators peace of mind that they won’t be trapped if they build a large audience.” Dig deeper.
What might be the price of the iPhone 15
With just a few days left until the iPhone 15 launch, many are wondering how much the iPhone 15 would cost considering all the new features coming to the standard iPhone model this year. Despite several new features expected to come to the iPhone 15, there are no leaks suggesting a price increase. This year, some tipsters have claimed that the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could rise from $100 to $200, but the same trend is not expected for the standard model. As it stands, the iPhone 15 should be available for $799 or Rs. 79900 in India. This also means that the iPhone 14 will be much, much cheaper! Dig deeper.
Technicians spoofed the like and share scam
Two software engineers in Pune had a harrowing encounter with cybercriminals in a like-and-share scam, Times of India mentioned in a report. These Hinjewad techies were lured by the promise of easy earnings through simple online tasks like reviewing hotels and liking videos. They created Telegram accounts at the request of scammers and received small payments at first, which increased trust. However, the scammers increased their demands and urged to invest more in “prepaid tasks”. The engineers, who grew suspicious, could not withdraw their funds and found themselves victims of a scam. A woman engineer lost Rs. 16.5 lakh, while her male counterpart lost Rs. 17.6 lakhs. Dig deeper.
