Tap Into ChatGPT with the iPhone 15 Pro’s Action Button – Get Answers in Seconds!
ChatGPT’s Chat with Voice feature is now available for free to all users of the ChatGPT mobile app – on both iOS and Android devices. This feature allows you to have a full-fledged conversation with a chatbot based on OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 large language models. Simply put, it’s your standard ChatGPT chatbot, but with a voice and the ability to hear you.
As good as the feature is, however, you have to go through a multi-step process to use the feature by first opening the ChatGPT app on Android or iOS and then tapping on the headphone icon. But what if we told you that you can activate ChatGPT Voice with just a click of a button? Yes, if you have an iPhone 15 Pro, you can use its new action button to launch ChatGPT Voice.
This is possible because Apple allows you to trigger shortcuts, which opens up countless ways to use the button – whether it’s unlocking your car, a smart lock, or in this case, activating the ChatGPT Voice Assistant. Before we start this setup, you need to download the ChatGPT app from the Apple App Store and update to the latest version available if you already have it.
Learn how to do this by following these steps:
- First, we need to set a shortcut for the same. Open Settings and then scroll down to find the Action Button interface on iPhone 15 Pro. Go to Shortcut. (Photo: Shaurya Sharma – ReturnByte)
- Now tap on “Choose Shortcut” and once you’re in the menu, look for “Shortcuts”.
- Scroll down in Shortcuts to find ChatGPT. If you have the latest available ChatGPT update installed, you will see “Start Voice Chat”. Tap it to set this as a hotkey when an action button is pressed.
- Next, when you press the action button, ChatGPT Voice will be activated, and you can then ask it whatever you think is necessary.
Like ChatGPT, you can activate any shortcut you create with the Shortcuts switch, making the iPhone 15 Pro’s action button an essential tool for people who want to take better control of their device.
