‘Star Wars: Jedi Survivor to be Released on PS4 and Xbox One After All’
According to The Verge, EA has reversed its previous statement and announced during an earnings call that Star Wars: Jedi Survivor will be released on PS4 and Xbox One consoles, in addition to the latest PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Initially, the game was intended to solely utilize the advanced technology of the latest consoles.
“Given the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team is committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” said EA CEO Andrew Wilson. Jedi Survivor was released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 in April, but there is no exact release date for last-gen consoles.
Jedi: Survivor, a direct sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, headlined an ReturnByte article about the disappointing PC ports earlier this year. The problems were due to performance, scaling and other issues – which may make players nervous about how it will run on much older Xbox One and PS4 hardware.
