WhatsApp is developing a new function to send high-quality photos: Learn more
WhatsApp update: Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to send images in their original quality while retaining their resolution. Thanks to this feature, it is finally possible to send photos in original quality.
“This new feature is certainly considered an important update that will greatly improve the user experience for sending photos in the upcoming WhatsApp Desktop beta,” WABetaInfo reported.
The messaging application owned by Meta also aims to bring the same option to the desktop application. The feature allows users to send images in their original quality while maintaining their resolution and clarity. This is a big improvement over the current image compression that happens when images are sent.
People no longer have to worry about losing image quality or resolution when sending them. Note that you still have control over uploading images even after this feature is enabled. While this feature is available to beta testers, they will still be able to send photos using the standard compression method, which can be useful for those looking to save storage space, and will always be the default option.
The ability to send photos in their original quality is under development and will be released in a future update of the application. As always, we plan to publish a follow-up article when we have more information to share with you.
