WhatsApp is working on call scheduling: everything you need to know
WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messaging apps, is set to release several interesting new features in the coming days. The Meta-owned platform is now developing a new feature that will allow users to schedule calls in their group chats.
According to WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app is currently working on a new feature that will allow users to schedule calls in group chats. This feature allows users to schedule calls in advance with other group members, adding convenience and flexibility to their communication.
It’s useful when a group is organizing an event because it allows members to schedule a call to discuss details and make sure everyone is available. The ability to schedule a call in group chats is currently under development and is expected to be released in a future update of the app, according to the report.
WhatsApp is also now rolling out the ability to share up to 100 media in your chats for some beta testers. You can check if the extended media sharing feature is enabled on your WhatsApp account when you try to select more than 30 media from the app’s media selector. If the feature is available, you can finally share up to 100 media otherwise, you have to wait for the upcoming app update.
This feature is really useful because users can finally share entire albums, making it easier to share memories and moments with friends and family. Additionally, the new limit helps prevent users from selecting the same image or video more than once if they need to upload a lot of media files.
Meanwhile, last week it was reported that the messaging platform is working on a new feature that will allow users to create call shortcuts. With the new feature, it is possible to create a call shortcut by tapping a contact cell in the contact list.
