WhatsApp Unveils Revamped App Settings: Here’s What You Need to Know

WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app owned by Meta, is planning to add more improvements to the app’s user interface by introducing a clearer settings screen.

“After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.17.1.70 update available on TestFlight, some beta testers can now try out the new settings page,” WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, reported.

According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the settings page has been completely redesigned. The Settings tab has been replaced with a new tab called “You” that displays our profile picture and is useful for switching to another account when the multi-account feature is available on iOS.

The Meta-owned app also introduced three new launch points that better highlight the most important parts of the app, allowing easy access to privacy settings, contact list and our profile. In addition, with the help of a new shortcut placed on top of the profile picture, we can view and share our personal QR code.

According to the report, the new settings page further reinforces their commitment to give the app a fresh and better look. Other UI changes announced in connection with the WhatsApp for iOS 23.16.72 update may also be widely available soon.

However, this update is not the only one that brings improvements to the app’s user interface. In fact, WhatsApp plans to add more UI improvements in the future.

The new settings interface is available to some beta testers who install WhatsApp beta for iOS from the latest update TestFlight, and will roll out to more people in the coming weeks.

In related news, Meta recently announced a new WhatsApp update that lets you click a picture and send it in original quality with friends or family. Mark Zuckerberg shared this post to show everyone how the HD photo quality feature works on WhatsApp.

The messaging app is rolling out the feature to users over the next week, which means you’ll get it in stages.
