WhatsApp will soon allow you to mute videos before sending them
WhatsApp has been busy not only testing, but also rolling out new features. He is now working on a new feature that will give users the option to mute videos before sending them.
WhatsApp’s new functionality is currently being tested, but it is not yet available to users in the public beta. This feature is under development and was discovered by WABetaInfo. It’s unclear when WhatsApp will roll out this feature to users. This is a simple feature, but it can be useful for users who want to send videos without any sound.
Based on the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the video preview screen will have a speaker icon which you can select to turn the audio on / off. If you turn it off, the video will be cut. It will also work for videos on WhatsApp status. This feature is generally present on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter. It should be rolled out in a future update on WhatsApp.
Speaking of the other features that WhatsApp has recently introduced, the disappearing messages are finally here. Announced earlier this month, WhatsApp users can now send ephemeral messages. Once activated, new messages sent in the chat will disappear after seven days. This feature is available for all WhatsApp users on Android, iOS and WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp has also started rolling out advanced wallpaper features for more users. This feature allows users to set a different wallpaper for each chat. You can choose to set a wallpaper for all chats on WhatsApp, or manually select a different one for each chat. This feature was first tested on the WhatsApp beta app for Android. It is not yet available on iOS.
