Xiaomi confirms the release date of the Redmi Note 12 series: Here are the details
Xiaomi is all set to launch the vanilla Redmi Note 12 series later this month. The company is hosting a global event to launch the new Redmi Note 12 phones, which sit below the Redmi Note Pro range in the company’s portfolio.
The Redmi Note series has been popular with the company over the years, racking up millions in sales across several countries, including India. Redmi Note has been synonymous with value for money for the buyer, but due to the changing price landscape of phones in 2023, expect the Redmi Note 12 series to cost more than usual, but with new features.
Redmi Note 12 series release date information
The Redmi Note 12 series will launch on March 23, and for those watching in India, the event will begin on Thursday at 8:30 PM. The teaser of Xiaomi’s invite suggests that the phones will have a bright display, which could be an AMOLED display, and will likely offer new cameras.
Xiaomi has recently started focusing its products on the global market. Equipped with Leica cameras, the Xiaomi 13 Pro made its global debut at the Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023) in Barcelona last month. The global launch of the Redmi Note 12 series suggests that more countries will receive the devices.
Redmi Note 12 Series Launch: What to Expect
The Redmi Note 12 is likely to feature a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, while other variants may offer a Snapdragon 7 series chip. This time you can look at the vanilla model’s 108MP cameras, which shouldn’t be surprising since the Pro Plus model has a 200MP shooter. We expect Xiaomi to have MIUI 14 on these devices now that it has been officially released. The battery charging speed could be 67 W, which is not bad for the segment.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro models start at Rs 18,000 this year, which means the Redmi Note 12 could be around Rs 15,000, unless Xiaomi decides to get buyers below Rs 13,000.
