Xiaomi smart masks for the future can collect realtime air data
The Chinese company Xiaomi has been granted a patent for smart masks, which are equipped with sensors and a chip to collect real-time data collection from the room air. The sensor would record information, such as whole life, pollution absorption, respiratory volume and breath counts.
The design consists of a pollutant filter and a sensor that records how long a person is wearing a mask. According to a report Abacus website, the US Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent Xiaomi “intelligent mask” design was submitted June 2016.

There is also a built-in battery, which provides power to standard air filter. Smart mask will also sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes.

Xiaomi already sells general masks to combat air pollution.
