WhatsApp Introducing Tool To Organize Business Groups
WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is reportedly rolling out a feature to view and manage communities in its business version.
“We shared information about the ability to view and manage communities from a business app in development. Finally, with the latest WhatsApp Business beta for Android 2.23.21.10 update available from the Google Play Store, some beta testers can now try full support for communities,” WABetaInfo reported .
According to the report, a new launch point to open the Communities screen may be available to some beta testers via an overflow menu. In this section, it is possible to view and manage a list of all communities that users have previously joined.
“It’s worth noting that the Enterprise version may still not be able to create communities, but at least users now have more control over viewing and managing them. However, the report says there’s still hope that this feature might be available in a future update.
According to WABetaInfo, this feature may also be available to some beta testers who install the latest version of the WhatsApp beta for iOS.
The report suggested that allowing companies to view and manage communities is a significant step forward. Businesses could already join communities using the community invite link, but they couldn’t see a list of all the groups in the community, making research and finding new groups very complicated.
With this new update, businesses have the same features as app clients when it comes to community group chats. The feature to view and manage communities in the business version is available to some beta testers who install the latest update of WhatsApp Business for Android from the Google Play Store, and is rolling out to more users in the coming days.
