WhatsApp update: Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has announced four new features – document captions, longer group topics and descriptions, the ability to share up to 100 media and avatars.
These features are available to all users who install the latest version of WhatsApp for Android from the Play Store.
In order to provide users with a better user experience, WhatsApp has just released a new changelog on the Play Store, mentioning the new features that are finally available to everyone who installs the latest update for WhatsApp, WABetaInfo reported.
WhatsApp four new features:
Document Caption: You can now attach a caption when sharing documents for a new way to describe them. The caption bar appears when users try to select a document. It’s easier to find a document when users post it with a caption
Longer group topics and descriptions: To describe groups, you can now choose a longer topic and description for your groups. Users can now choose a longer group description, up to 2048 characters, up from the previous limit of 512 characters
Share up to 100 media: You can now share up to 100 photos and videos in your chats, making it easier for users to share entire albums with their friends and family. With the new feature, users can now select up to 100 media from the app’s media selector, which was previously limited to just 30.
Create Personal Avatars: You can express yourself better by creating an Avatar as a sticker and profile picture. This feature has already been rolled out to everyone earlier after installing the WhatsApp for Android 2.22.24.73 update, but WhatsApp is re-highlighting it in the official changelog for those users who might not be familiar with the feature yet.
