Trial of Customizable Stickers from Photos on Instagram
Good news for those who enjoy sending stickers on Instagram DMs and incorporating them into their reels – Instagram is currently testing a feature that allows users to create personalized stickers using their own photos! The platform, owned by Meta, has been actively experimenting with various features, such as the ability to create lists for stories and providing users with greater control over their data and privacy. Additionally, Instagram has recently introduced the option to add music to photo carousels, expanding beyond single photos. These features aim to enhance the overall user experience, and the introduction of custom stickers is expected to further improve the platform’s intuitiveness. Stay informed about all the details.
Custom stickers on Instagram
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri shared news on his broadcast channel about a new feature that allows users to create custom stickers from photos. Users can create custom stickers from camera roll photos and even valid Instagram photos. The feature is currently being tested, and a public rollout is not expected anytime soon.
“We’re testing a way to turn photos into custom stickers that you can use in your reels and stories. You can create stickers from your own photos in your camera roll, or from valid images you see on Instagram. I’m excited to see people get creative with this, let me know what you think!” Mosseri wrote.
This feature works similarly to the iPhone where the user can tap and hold on any part of the image in the Photos app and send it as a sticker in Messages, WhatsApp and more.
How does it work
A short video shared on the show shows the new Create tool in Addons. Tapping it will open your camera roll and show you the photos you recently added to your device. You can tap on an image and Instagram will automatically recognize the crop, although you can also make a selection manually. The sticker can then be attached to any reel or image.
Custom polls in the comments
According to a report by ReturnByte, Instagram has recently rolled out a feature that allows certain users to create custom polls in comments, helping creators connect with their audience. It can be used for both feed posts and rollers. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the feature will be “rolling out to everyone soon.”
