Unlock the Power of iOS 17.2: Get the New Feature on iPhone 15 Pro & Pro Max!
US tech giant Apple has now started rolling out the second beta of iOS 17.2 bringing a new feature to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max that allows users to record spatial video that can be viewed in the upcoming Apple Photos app. Vision Pro headphones.
Spatial video recording can be enabled by going to the Settings app, tapping the Camera section, selecting Formats, and choosing “Spatial Video for Apple Vision Pro,” MacRumors reports.
Apple recommends holding the iPhone in a stable horizontal position when recording status video for best results. Spatial video is recorded at 30 frames per second in 1080p resolution, and one minute of video takes up 130 MB of storage space.
Spatial videos taken with the iPhone 15 Pro can be viewed on the iPhone, but they appear as regular videos. Spatial videos are labeled Spatial to indicate that they can be viewed in 3D with Vision Pro.
Spatial videos are not displayed full screen by default on Vision Pro headsets. If you expand the video, Apple warns that there is too much movement in the video and it may cause discomfort.
According to Macrumors, the biggest new feature in iOS 17.2 is the Journal app, which can be used to record daily activities and thoughts.
You can write about your daily life, but Apple also offers topic suggestions based on the music you listen to, places you visit, and people you see.
Diary entries support images, audio recordings and location information, and the app is organized by date of arrival.
“Registered developers can participate in the betas by opening the Settings app, going to the Software Update section, tapping the ‘Beta Updates’ option, and switching to the iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 Developer Beta. An Apple ID linked to a developer account is required to download and install the beta,” MacRumors said.
In related news, Apple also released the second beta version of the upcoming iPadOS 17.2 update to developers for testing purposes.
